What is a heat pump?
A heat pump is a type of mechanical innovation used for the heating and cooling of residential and commercial spaces. A heat pump transfers air from one room to another using a fan, a condenser unit, and coils which house a refrigerant. During the warm summer months, the heat pump takes hot air from inside the home and moves it outside. During the cold winter months, the heat pump takes hot air from outside the home and moves it inside. A heat pump is also used in refrigeration systems to keep food cold, just on a smaller scale.
How often should I change my filter?
It depends on a few factors such as how much dust you are noticing in your home, and if you’ve had any recent renovations in your home which may have caused a buildup of dust and debris in your HVAC filter. To get an accurate diagnosis, contact Fine-Air Cooling and Heating Services, LLC and schedule a diagnostic walkthrough of your home. This short visit will allow your HVAC specialist to determine if your HVAC filters need changing or cleaning, and if any other parts of your HVAC system need attention or repair.
What does HVAC mean?
HVAC is an abbreviation that stands for Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning. An HVAC specialist’s job involves the installation, repair and maintenance of a commercial or residential HVAC system such as an air conditioner, heater or refrigerator.
How long does the average air conditioner last?
